Course Details Environmental Health and Safety Management is fast becoming an integral and essential part of most organizations worldwide. The need to create a work place that protects worker health and safety with due respect for the environment is no longer viewed as a regulatory burden but as an approach that offers significant opportunities/ benefits such as reduced risks, lower employee absence and turnover rates, fewer accidents, increased productivity, lessened threat of legal action, better reputation for corporate responsibility among investors, customers and communities etc. Furthermore, organizations today place great emphasis on industry-based assessment and the development of practical skills. This course is thus designed to produce occupational health and safety professionals with strong theoretical and practical occupational health and safety (OHSE) skills in a range of disciplines. The course aims to develop research skills and encourage graduates to discover new knowledge and novel ways of solving problems. This program covers all aspects of occupational health, safety and environment. Significant emphasis is placed on learning and research. The program aims at developing a wider and more in-depth understanding of occupational health, safety and environment theory and practice.
